What we fix

All makes and models, foreign and domestic. If your car is doing something and you cannot name it, describe it on the phone. Half of this job is working out what you are actually hearing.

What happens when you bring it in

  1. 01

You tell us what it is doing

When it happens, what it sounds like, whether it is worse cold or hot. That narrows it down faster than any scanner.

  2. 02

We find the cause, not just the code

A code points at a circuit. It does not tell you why. We test until we know, because replacing the part the code named is how people end up paying twice.

  3. 03

You get the price before we start

Parts and labor, itemized. If there is more than one way to fix it, we give you the options and what each one buys you.

  4. 04

You approve it, then we work

Nothing gets done that you did not agree to. If we open it up and find something worse, the car stops and the phone rings.

The work

Diagnostics

The lead tech leaning into the engine bay of a sedan with the hood up

Check engine lights, warning lights, no-starts, rough running, stalling, and electrical faults. That includes the hard ones: the fault that will not act up on command, and the car another shop already replaced two parts on.

A code tells you which circuit is unhappy. It does not tell you why. We test until we know, because replacing the part the code named is how people end up paying twice.

Brakes

The owner kneeling at the front wheel of a raised pickup

Pads, rotors, calipers, hoses, lines, parking brake, and brake fluid service. ABS lights and wheel speed sensor faults.

Bring it in for grinding, squealing, pulling to one side, a pedal that sinks, or a shudder when you slow down from highway speed.

Oil and maintenance

Close-up of oil going into an engine through a metered nozzle

Oil and filter with the grade your engine actually calls for, conventional or synthetic. Fluid levels, belts, hoses, filters, wipers, and a look at the brakes and tires while the car is up.

We will tell you what is coming due. We will also tell you what can wait, which is the part most places skip.

Engine repair

The lead tech working in an open engine bay

Misfires, oil and coolant leaks, overheating, timing components, water pumps, gaskets, and sensors.

If a repair costs more than the car is worth, we say so before you spend the money.

Transmission

Fluid and filter service, and diagnosis for slipping, hard shifts, delayed engagement, or a transmission warning light.

Tires and alignment

The lead tech at the rear wheel of a car up on the lift

Mounting, balancing, rotation, flat repair, and TPMS. Alignment when the car pulls, the wheel sits crooked, or the inside edges of your tires are wearing away faster than the outside.

Suspension and steering

The lead tech at the front wheel hub of a pickup raised on the lift

Struts, shocks, springs, control arms, bushings, ball joints, tie rods, sway bar links, and power steering.

Clunks over bumps, a floaty ride, uneven tire wear, or steering that wanders on the highway.

Heat and A/C

A/C recharge, leak detection, compressors, condensers, blower motors, blend doors, and heater cores.

A recharge on its own is a temporary fix. Refrigerant does not get used up, so if the system is low, it is leaking somewhere. We find the leak.

Electrical

Batteries, alternators, starters, wiring, lighting, power windows and locks, and parasitic draws that flatten a battery overnight.

What we do not do

We do not do body work, paint, or glass. We are a mechanical repair shop and that is where we are good.

If you need one of those, call us anyway. We will point you at someone in the north metro who does it right.

Not sure which one it is?

That is normal. Describe what the car is doing and we will tell you where to start.
